Enjoyable clips from our SADD auditorim shows. More extended footage is available on our DVD Video '91. This was a fun time playing in larger environments, sleeping on the road (or not- as Jeff tends to bounce off the walls to everyone elses detrement), and just being a band. We played every song from "the Inevitable" album, a couple from early Harbinger and a number of newer songs as well. The obvious element missing of course is the drummer. Either our road manager rick or myself would load a bank of 3 songs in the drum machine and Jeff would start it with a footswitch. I remember on our first night in Waverly, the 2nd song was Birds Of A Feather and somewhere after the first chorus Jeff is jumping around and steps on the pedal and the song restarts. Todd is completely lost so he just goes into a guitar solo. Jeff has to go over and hum in his ear the guitar melody timing with the drums and we just continue from the beginning-again!. I doubt anyone knew. It would happen again in another show as well. These really were complicated songs to play and I'm always amazed when I watch this footage how little if ever we messed up (noticably). But we rehearsed with the same intensity as we played live and that was a big factor.

Very fun times. I watch this footage in awe of the great fortune we encountered. Wow! All of that room on a giant stage, massive PA system and Many lights with tons of dense fog all over the stage filtering through the light. What other unsigned band would be able to perform with such a large scale production. And signing hundreds of autographs…that was ultra cool. The kicker was that is was all for a positive cause. Even thought it took some time for the sound engineer to become familiar enough with our songs to use the right process effects, and the lighting tech to wake up from his naps, it looked and sounded professional. We were tight! As I review the footage I can't help but notice how confident we were. All of those hundreds of tiring hours of rehearsals paid off. The best advice I can give to any of you who are just beginning is to practice your ass off!! It will pay big dividends if you are serious about it. I am very pleased we have video recorded documentation. I don't recall if Mosh is in any of the scenes but you can bet he was behind the scenes and we need to do him justice by giving him mention. It was a pleasure to have Rick "Mosh" Turner as the fifth member of our extended family. He spent many tiring hours in contributing behind the scenes to us looking and sounding professional as the viewer and listener would hear and see us as is evident in the footage.
