A word to the wise, you can not disguise what you are inside as I study you. The movements you make, the breathes that you take, I'll catch every step predicting the next.

I slowly match your vibrations. I move as you move, a mirror to open your soul. You liken to my anticipations. Feeling comfort and ease, you show me what I want to see.

Detector of lies unmasking your self reservations. Covertly inside, place down your guard don't deceive. Detector of Lies. Covertly inside.

With ease I now manipulate your verbal lip responses. You're kinesthetic I sense. Almost touching and feeling my words I’ve spoke unto you. Oh, how I master neural linguistics.

We all try to guard our deceptions. Willful or not we don't always say what me mean. I break down the walls to communication. Feeling comfort and ease you show me just what I need.

Archivon in a steel cage death match. Well, that's what it felt like at The Purgatory in Rochester, New York. This was put on by the Empire Music Conference for which we were selceted to play in front of some industry people along with the normal club audience. My review of this holds better memories than that night because we were a bit put out having to switch venues at the last minute to a much "heavier" club and we changed the set list at the last second. Most of the songs came off great like Detector Of Lies but we did butcher another song badly and the PA system was not doing us any favors. I think we would have enjoyed performing in this place any other night but we were scrambling and a bit off balance by the cage and all. Detector Of Lies was a song that always got some of our best response live and yet the studio version was so stiff. It's a great song that weaves heaviness, groove, off pace, timing intricacy along with Jeff's personality and power. He always did a great job of matching his vocal delivery to the lyrical content which is about the covert study of body language and how to manipulate people with it. All in all, this performance is better than I remembered. Our raod manager Rick Turner was probably running the camcorder and seemed fascinated by the video effects button. I guess it adds a bit to it as well if you like that kind of stuff.

Powerful! Slam dunk! I wish every song we played on this night went as well. We were at the conference man! Supposedly, either Billy Squire or Don Dokken were coming to the club we were playing. Purgatory! "The others shift down for the hell that awaits!" Biker bar with the chain link fence. Tight stage but cool. We should have booked a follow up show at Purgatory where I know we would have come back and kicked ass! I don't know why we didn't. Probably something bad happened afterwards. I enjoy watching this video. We hammered it! To hell with the other songs Tom, this one shook the house! Who is this band? Why aren't they signed?! I have nothing else to say.
