I envision a car chase when I hear this. A few times I've mentioned that Jeff didn't seem to care alot for some of the demos from this era. That would include the demos for songs that eventually became Place in Time and Frame of Mind from UDM "Smash Hits". I did actually play him this song and he picked out a few parts which he didn't like. He thought the harmonics were silly and he didn't like the bridge change before the lead. Maybe I didn't play this for him until EOR, I don't recall. He just didn't like it and I thought he was wrong. But he was probably looking ahead to the music scene at the time and felt they didn't fit. I would't be surprised if he doesn't recall this at all. I still love to listen to this today and of all the songs on this album I would like to have put vocals to it. I dig the the descending phrasing in the verse over that driving base... pat, pat. The lead is mixed a little too loud but then again, I'm not drowning out any one else since it's all me so who cares!

I envision a car crash when I hear this. Just kidding. There are a couple of cool parts to this piece but the harmonics seem silly and bridge change before the leads are not to my taste. I didn't really care for it then and upon reviewing years later, my opinion has not wavered.

Tom's Rebuttle: Don't be a dick!
