This was the first song I wrote for this project. I love it! The drum machine had some guitar sounds as well and you could set it in chord mode. I was just messing with it one day to find some stuff to solo over and used the acoustic guitar setting in chord mode. The opening lead melody is really tasty. The extended lead section I think is one of my best solos ever but I could be a touch critical and say I got a bit note happy as I was bringing it to a climax. It might be a little sloppy as well but I never prided myself on technical proficiancy. This song was probably more feasable for an instrumental album than the others and ironically I'm pretty sure Jeff did some vocal work for this and I did not like it at all. He can elaborate.

"There's a change come over me. Have you noticed? Or do your eyes fail to see? Through the sands of time. The boy he did become the man. And now I'm standing here. All alone again".

I remember liking this song and writing the above lyrics and a complete song with melody and recording them to 4-track. After Tom reviewed them he soon rejected. So I vetoed. Well... maybe it didn't happen quite that way.
