I'm on the run. They're after me again. I only tried to get to you my friend and it never ends. You said you'd let me come to you when I was in need. I needed just a friend or two. Oh yes, I'm in need of you.

Now I've been searching, looking for you. I've got to get back to where I wanted to

I'm at the crossroads. I'm living in a world of crime. Crossroads. And life isn't treating me so kind. I'm at the crossroads. I'm walking in a danger zone. I'm at the crossroads. I'm running out of time.

Should I turn left? Should I turn right? Or shall I follow through to see the light? Living for the day. Fighting for the night.I only tried to get to you my friend and it never ends.

This is my favorite song on the album. The opening riff is quite powerful. Before I joined Harbinger I went to see their show and they opened with this song - it left an impression. They were thinking a bit on the arrangement as well in the second verse where a solo just kicks in out of nowhere. I like that change up. I'm going to venture a guess at how they came up with that. They were rehearsing the song one day and Jeff was making Todd laugh and he got lost so Todd just went into a solo because he didn't know what else to do. That's usually what Todd did when he had no clue where he was. It worked so well in this case that they kept it. Unless of course Chad played the solo then my theory is shot to hell. I would have agreed to keep playing this song over the years with future bands but it never was presented.

Incredible song. Todd at his best. I didn't originally write it, but I made this one my own!! I liked this one so much that I had to make it better than its original state. To do so, I had to take a diplomatic approach. It was written before I came into the picture so I pretty much had to play along. So when I sang it as my version for the first time without telling the guys of my changes, they fell in love with it. Keeping the lyrics close to the original with a few changes here and there was the key because the guys liked the theme of keeping things lyrically simple. This allowed me the freedom of changing the vocal melody. Besides, as I mentioned earlier, the guys loved it when they heard it so I was within the boundaries. We would confidently and powerfully play this tune even as Harbinger at every gig. People ate it up. Had I known that Tom liked the song enough to gig it after Harbinger 1, I would have suggested we perform it every time. It is still a fav of mine. Still one question looms...Why can't anyone ever capture the power in my screams the way they sound live? Billy and Andy really hold down the rhythm well in this song. Todd's and Chad's solos came off rather well. I like the way they structured the change offs. The guys sang back-ups. Sorry Tom, Chad played that little run with the dive bomb at the end which is actually where Todd was laughing. Just kidding about Todd laughing.
