| O.K., it's so divine the feeling I get when I reach the other side as it pulls me in and out of control. O.K., it's so supreme makes me wanna jump right up and split the scene then I'm falling back in line again. O.K., it's overflow. Knows where to go when it's up and down and in between although it may just split at the seams.
And I can take you there. Inside the afterall. Maybe I found you here... over and out.
O.K., it's so reserved I'll bet you didn't even get what you deserve as you pulled wool over your own eyes. O.K., it's so discrete makes we wanna shout it out and kiss my feet and I couldn't even get out of bed. O.K., it's overload maybe I should eat some more before I explode, my head is full of empty thoughts

| WHAT??? I can't wait to read Jeff's liner notes because I have no idea what the hell he's singing about. I guess I wasn't paying too much attention in those days as I let him have free reign of all the lyrics. Actually, though I don't have any idea what this is about there is alot of his Bizarre lyrical talent in this song. He loves to play off previous words or sentences and stuff like "my head is full of empty thoughts" is probably him having lyrical fun with no purposeful destination. Kind of like the Steven Wright of singing. There is some tie-in to O.K. and Old Kinderhook and our president Martin van Buren. We'll see what sense he can make of all this. As for the music... I was trying to write a danceable piece. As I eluded, we did alot of covers in EOR. Much of that mid 90's alternative but also some classic rock like "You shook Me All Night Long" even a steroid version of "Play That Funky Music". (man that's hard to admit). I tried to fit an original in that mold but I'm not sure how well I succeded. I think the recorded version is a bit too slow in tempo. The intro and lead section is not a Synth. It's just a weird chime sound I programmed into my guitar floor processor. The verse guitar line has a lower octave programming. The song verse also has a strange measure I'm not sure what it is but it's not 4/4. I really don't know much about that stuff but I think if you played the riff for 4 or 6 measures it woud get back in time with a straight 4/4 drum beat- I think I'm right about that but I also may not know what the hell I'm technically saying. Well, we all ended the song at the same time so I guess it works itself out. |

This song has groove. I am sorry to burst anybody's bubble that may have analyzed this song and thought they had it pegged buuut...This song is a song of parodies and means absolutely nothing. OK just kind of flowed with every verse so I used it. I like to see if the listener is paying attention. Obviously my partners in music never did as they never asked about the lyrical content. If Todd Hensley had been in the band, he would have had a lot of fun with it. I can just see him laughing until sound wouldn't come out of him with his eyes leaking. Master Mody can relate. He and Todd used to not really dissect but create parodies to some of my lyrical pieces. Hilarious stuff which may someday be documented. OK is a phrase which, anyone with any history knowledge of our Presidents may know that Martin VanBuren coined the phrase "ok" using to indicate agreement, approval or completion as an interjection. As an adjective, it would be used to express passable, well, allowable, good or pleasant. As an adverb, fairly well. Transitive verb and/or Noun, to give approval. "OK" you get the picture! Oh, by the way, Martin's home town was a little place in the state of New York named Old Kinderhook. You'll notice the initials in Old Kinderhook are OK. No pun intended.
Tom's Rebuttle: First, you didn't even go to college and you dissected the song like some friggin' English Professor. I'm going to have Mrs. Fagan check your work, sounds like BS. to me. Second, Parodies will be posted.
