If you listen very close you can hear the echoes low. Sensors vibrating sending cold chills up your spine. Are you in a trance? Will you ever live a life inside the norm? Will you never conform?

Look to the sky and let your spirit flow.
Let good feelings come your way and always let them show. If you don't make a stand you'll die by your own hand. This rage inside your helpless mind, dramatic in it's find.

Always seeking in your mind. Searching for a peaceful place. Standing in the shadows of your past. If you're asking forgiveness, make a stronger bond in thought. Let your mind at ease. Feel your floating soul.

Leave this world behind.
You've got to take the control in your mind.

I did alot of standing around in this song. Todd would play all the clean intro and verse parts so I'd just come up with some back to the audience pose then spin around when the heavy chorus parts came in. The studio version was from the Archivon '93 sessions and as I mentioned in the liner notes. I had the first solo and never was comfortable playing it. Particularly this day with a crap lead sound. Todd has the longer 2nd guitar solo. Jeff sang and played keys. I don't know why I didn't play keys since I wasn't doing anything.

Did I play the keys on this song live? I guess so. In hindsight, I must have wanted the glory but realistically should have had Tom play the keys as I was standing at a difficult angle to the audience and playing the keys while singing. The way the keys were set up for this particular show was different than others in that the keys were set up facing the audience. Perhaps this was when we were utilizing Mac Hine on the percussion and Mac was always very polite in not taking up too much space so I could be in front without imposing. If Tom was standing around then he should have at least been sweeping the stage or making sure that I had water for what he was getting paid! Just kidding. He should have been the one playing the keys if it wouldn't have interfered with any of his guitar parts. Oh well. Tom's & Todd's solos came off well despite what Tom thinks about his sound and performance.
