We've always been lead to believe they come from the heavens. Who'd of thought there would be another world under the ocean. Some say there's only life, others say there's only death I say they're blind. The answer's plain to see, we all may hold the key in our mind. Our quest to go where no mans ever gone before. We seek the other life.

I believe we've been held from the truth to keep us from panic. You may find Egypt holds all the clues that point to Atlantis. Are they light years ahead? Are we light years behind? It does not matter. Either way life will progress, all secrets we'll confess unto each other. Our quest to go where no mans ever gone before. We seek the other life, world peace, high technology exists somewhere, but where nobody knows. Someplace there has to be a better race. Somewhere out there but will we ever know.

But where God only knows.

In order to get the key right for the 3 part harmony intro between Jeff, Billy and myself we would have some sort of short music piece. At this particular show Billy did a bass finger tapping seque which would end on the key note of the song. Let's just say it wasn't Billy's finest moment so we'll pretend it never happened and that all 3 of us have perfect pitch to nail the intro. Todd plays the first and longer guitar solo and I have a short piece that follows but I'm pretty low in the mix. At some point in this song my guitar cord shorted, I think it was at the beginning. During the outro Jeff is singing some unrelated lyric from a cover song that I wasn't familiar with and in the video you can see our stage manager Rick Turner who was up by the camcorder whinning about it. The studio version is from Harbinger "the Inevitable".

An obscure song which actually played well in live situations. Tom and Billy nailed the harmonies which was very pleasing. We practiced much at these harmonies. The Other Life is one of those songs on the Harbinger CD which you either liked or disliked. I don't think most people actually got it. At least in this show where there was a bit of a bumble in the segue, we all found our harmonies. The cover tune which Tom refers to was in at the time and it just rolled off my tongue once as would happen on occasion. I guess this was one of those occasions. Like it or not, it happened. I can still see Rick (Mosh) Turner shaking his head in difference.
