Many moons ago when time stood still lived a nation strong and proud. No machines, their minds were pure. Anything they could endure. Then came the storm that tore their empire to the ground. Just you be warned. When you least expect it.

Something wicked in the air tonight. Nothing of our earthly time. Storm clouds forming with the smell of death. Power's origin unknown.

Even though the nation thinned so fast. They knew they'd prevail at last. The sands of time destroyed mankind. We've fallen victims to ourselves. We are the storm. And the sacred nation weeps. We have been warned. You didn't expect it did you?

Something wicked in the air. Something wicked every where. Something wicked in our minds. Something wicked all the time.

This song was written prior to my joining Harbinger in 1990. I always loved this song, particularly live. This was the closing song in our 1993 shows and we had a mosh pit going in the headbanging break section. It was a tastefully simple song of Todds to play. Being the last song we added the outro piece which is the crescendo section from Amber Waves. The intro drum part was added prior to this show where Jeff would give any credits necessary. Todd was a beat late coming in on this recording at the climax of the drum intro. This is my favorite song from this show. Good backing vocals from Billy and Jeffs intro scream is awsome.

The awesome song which would elude being recorded until the end of time. Something Wicked. Todd wrote this music to this incredible song. Writing the story and vocal melody was indescribable. I'm never tired of this one. Tom may have forgotten that they revamped the m8 section and gave it a gutsy, wanna mosh in the pit feel and people ATE IT UP!! What a great ending to the show. Soup to nuts, one of my all time favorites. This song has such a history that we must never make a studio recording of it. But I am glad that it was documented live to capture the energy. This song just plain DELIVERED!
